No mystery math
What a party hat bar costs.
We'd rather show you the formula than hide behind “request a quote.” Three inputs decide your price: guests, hours, and distance. Here's how each one works.
From $5,000 local, all-in
The three dials
1. Guest count. Hats and patches scale with your list. A 25-person dinner party and an 80-person blowout carry very different hat budgets, and that's most of the gap between quotes.
2. Hours on site. Most parties book a 2–3 hour bar window. Crew time is billed at $250/hr and includes the hour of setup before doors and teardown after — you're never charged mystery “service fees” on top.
3. Location. Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego are home turf with zero travel cost. Las Vegas and other road trips add a flat $900 — not a per-mile meter.
Honest examples
Two real-world shapes.
The 30-guest birthday
Backyard in Costa Mesa, 2-hour bar, mixed trucker and corduroy lineup, standard patch wall plus one custom name patch for the birthday girl. This is the shape that lands right around the $5,000 starting point.
The 80-guest double feature
Rented Vegas venue, 3-hour window, hat bar plus a live shirt table. More hats, more crew hours, the $900 travel flat — think mid-four-figures above the base, quoted line by line before you commit.
Every quote itemizes hats, patches, hours, and travel separately, so you can trim the number yourself by adjusting any dial.
Ways to trim the quote
- Shorten the window. A tight 2-hour bar during cocktail hour usually catches every guest anyway.
- Go single-style. An all-Richardson-112 lineup in two colors costs less than a five-style boutique spread.
- Skip custom patches. Our stock patch wall is deep — custom pieces are wonderful but optional.
- Book a weekday. Fridays and Saturdays go first; a Thursday party gets more calendar flexibility.
